and no, I probably won't be skinning it since I really don't know how to do it properly...maybe it's just my lazyness...
 
Yeah it does look great, too bad it's not in any colour, but your excused for now :wink:
 
Just slam on a standard material, put a UVW Map on it and show us how that looks... pretty please with bits of Gecko on top?

Nope, you don't suck at all. Better modeling than me. I'd just lower the bottom edge of the breast plate for better protection. Your M.A. looks good.

man that looks so cool ive been looking for 3dsmax for ages now could u pm me werei could get it. hopefully i wont have to pay 3 grand for it
 
damn i really need to pay £300 then as i want to be an animator when im older so will be gd practice. shame i have to pay though
 
I know what you meen. When i'm older, i'm going to be a space man. I'll be getting the training programs through a torrent, after my Tara Reid films are finnished downloading.

well i was kinda talking about the skinning. I'm pretty happy about the model, there are just a few small things I might change just to make it more accurate...the texturing still sucks though, I really, really don't know how to UWunwrap and texture models, I really, really don't.

Also, I think the ring is some wierd fantasy of a pierced nipple, take a look

No this is the new ring, known as the nipple ring for Metal Armour. It gives you sooper dooper AC when equipped, and makes you a hot stud, like me 8)

Kahgan, try selecting all the objects with the Rusty Metal texture, then from the modifier list choose UVW Map and then set it to Box...

Maybe that'll prevent the texture from stretching...

Beeing unable to move the torso won't protect u better.

Instead, maybe add another layer of armor and lower this. And actually I think the current version is far too low. Just imagine wearing this thing.
