Re: Troubleshooting FAQ, for technical help
b]BIS FO Editor "Couldn't locate/load text fonts" error[/b]
------------------
To fix this problem change the mapper2.cfg file's [system] section to the following:<blockquote>[system]
critter_dat=H:\Games\BlackIsle\Fallout2\critter.dat
critter_patches=H:\Games\BlackIsle\Fallout2\data
master_dat=H:\Games\BlackIsle\Fallout2\master.dat
master_patches=H:\Games\BlackIsle\Fallout2\data</blockquote>Where H:\ is the letter of your HD, and Games\BlackIsle\Fallout2\ is the path to the editor. You should manually locate your executable/data files and change the path accordingly.
Fallout 2 "Couldn't locate/load text fonts" error
------------------
Same thing as above except fallout2.cfg is the file you want.

I saw the demos of F3 last week and they brought back good memories, and when I saw the White Label DVD 3 in one Fallout colection in the bargain box for 10 bucks I thought why not.
Now it has been 10 years since I played 1 and 2 on my mac. But since I have win XP under boot camp on my mac pro today for games and no problems running modern 2008 PC games this way it felt safe to try
but attempting to apply the patch that came on the dvd gives this error and I do not even see a fallout2.cfg file there is also no patcher file in the unzipped patch folder as referenced in the patch read me
Should I just ignore the included official patch and install the fan patch mentioned in this faq?
the link to White label (gsp) in the DVD is dead so no help from the publisher (the game does run anyway as installed 1.0
