b]BIS FO Editor "Couldn't locate/load text fonts" error[/b]
------------------
To fix this problem change the mapper2.cfg file's [system] section to the following:
[system]
critter_dat=H:\Games\BlackIsle\Fallout2\critter.dat
critter_patches=H:\Games\BlackIsle\Fallout2\data
master_dat=H:\Games\BlackIsle\Fallout2\master.dat
master_patches=H:\Games\BlackIsle\Fallout2\data
Where H:\ is the letter of your HD, and Games\BlackIsle\Fallout2\ is the path to the editor. You should manually locate your executable/data files and change the path accordingly.

Fallout 2 "Couldn't locate/load text fonts" error
------------------
Same thing as above except fallout2.cfg is the file you want.

I saw the demos of F3 last week and they brought back good memories, and when I saw the White Label DVD 3 in one Fallout colection in the bargain box for 10 bucks I thought why not.

Now it has been 10 years since I played 1 and 2 on my mac. But since I have win XP under boot camp on my mac pro today for games and no problems running modern 2008 PC games this way it felt safe to try

but attempting to apply the patch that came on the dvd gives this error and I do not even see a fallout2.cfg file there is also no patcher file in the unzipped patch folder as referenced in the patch read me

Should I just ignore the included official patch and install the fan patch mentioned in this faq?

the link to White label (gsp) in the DVD is dead so no help from the publisher (the game does run anyway as installed 1.0

If you have Vista I think it puts config files all in a heap somewhere. Don't know where though. Might be somewhere around where the save files are.

Thanks I just got the Killap version 1.02.25 instaler version patch from your Download area and it worked without a hitch

cant really see any reason to make the Official patch version 1.02d that came on the DVD from White label work now.

As to the windows version I run XP SP3

Thanks for the quick reply thought

My unofficial patch already includes the 1.02d fixes, so no need to use any other patch.

what a monumental job your patch is! many many thanks!

interesting that the folks that (i guess were, as the links to
The publishers of this 3 in 1 DVD White label or GSP are dead) published this compilation could not provide a functioning patcher for F2 but yours works perfectly.

Whoever gets to publish these the next time should buy the rights to your patcher from you!
