Look, Ma! Two Heads!
To me, this is one of the most annoying parts of the game. If you accidentally knock over an object, people scold you. If you pick up an item with the "z" key, people will complain. And if you look at an owned or locked object for even a fraction of a second, people assume that you're about to break in. In fact, to avoid this, whenever I'm done talking to someone standing near such doors containers such as cabinets, trunks on a shelf, etc, I purposely look up to the ceiling and then turn around.
The producers of the game should have changed all this or better yet removed them altogether like they did in New Vegas. Maybe somebody should make a mod that does this.
If they did change it, this is what it would be like:
Knock Over items:
-Watch your step.
-Sorry about the mess.
-We really should clean up around here.
-A bit clumsy aren't you?
Look at Owned/Locked Container
-You can look. Just don't touch.
-If it's locked, let's keep it that way.
-It wouldn't be a good idea to ignore property boundary laws now.
-What's inside is none of your concern.
Look at Owned/Locker Terminal
-Don't touch that. That's private.
-I would feel more comfortable if you pointed your eyes elsewhere.
-Didn't your parents ever teach you to respect other people's privacy?
-You shouldn't let your curiosity get the best of you.
Look at Locked Door/Entrance to Restricted Area
-I wouldn't go in there if I were you.
-That area is off limits.
-Enter at your own risk.
-You shouldn't go where you shouldn't be.
