Neuromancer - the game

So I was just reading the book and saw it has a video game adaption. By, yes, Brian Fargo and Michael Stackpole. Has anyone played it?

Was it any good? Would a Kickstarter of a sequel be super-awesome or pointless?

It could probably work better with today's graphics and game engines, but back then it was quite weird, to say the least.

It switched back and forth between a typical point-and-click adventure game and that portion known as "Cyberspace", where you had to utilize your (upgradeable) hacking kit to bring down the "defenses" of certain corporations' computers and loot their mainframes. That portion of the game was super-confusing and quite boring, and made me never actually finish the game.

Eeeew! Maybe an RPG could work better.

The Cyberspace could (most likely) be refined to work better, as you said. It sounds like an interesting idea.
