New BioShock Video

It didn't load the video... But it is this, right?

I also have to admit that I am quite excited. I don't think BioShock's going to run on my PC, though. But finally, an interesting FPS!

Looks fun, although the 'teleportation' thing is a bit too much.

Also, the last few seconds of the movie look like some sick child rape video or something.

can't wait for this to come out, I'm tired of playing System Shock 2 over and over again...

I hate these kind of games, seriously.
you're probably a minority here then.

dunno, depends how well it fits in the story. too early to tell.

that's only your perverted mind Wooz... i was kinda impressed at how well they pictured the kid's fright. (you killed her "Big Daddy" afterall, ye know)

I'm glad to see John Uskglass back and even more glad to see such awesome footage! The behavior of the child was completely lifelike both in sound and action. I loved the environment...just as I envisioned it as I wished it would be. 1920's style advertisements and art along with the destruction of the water and battle.

Wow...

Though I do think the levitation seemed a bit much for a biological enhancement...that seems like magic. Especially the teleportation...I see no way for any scientific possibility as far as that in that era...especially for an upgraded ability that's supposed to be from "natural" biology.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

yeah because so many games only use what's real, right?

come on man, this biodome was not the nutty scientist's playground, it was the playground of a SOCIETY OF NUTTY SCIENTISTS (plural)! imagine the possibilities.

who cares if it's not 'real', that was never the point. the weaon upgrades aren't real, the hacking isnt real, etc. it simply doesn't matter, it only has to fit the setting, not reality.

I have to agree here. The hand reaching for the scared child huddled up in the corner.

I'm impressed by the gameplay there, though. I wonder how much of that gameplay was planned to be possible and how much of it was emergent.

i'm getting more & more intrigued by the PC's hands. when doing telekenisis and teleport they look fairly normal, but when he's wielding the shotgun and the mind control thing, they look downright nasty.

It's the inherent evil in all firearms that corrupt them. The destructive evil aura is too much for his nivea-poster hands.

Not much different from the Psi-op enhancements in System Shock 2, in my opinion.
