my save decided to fuck itself sideways, and im recognizing other people w the same problem being told to "clear their cache"

now, any google search i tried from then on decided to mock me and laugh, so...

how the hell do i clear my oblivion cache!? :I
(and will this really re-set everything ive done in the game, as well as even remove all addons and patches, wtf!?)

edit, i'd also appreciate some background info, what causes this collapse of normalcy? how to avoid it?
i have plaid the game before, with the same mods (not a lot of them really), same ammount of playing time, and not gotten this error.
so far its not overly dramatic, ive gotten some functions disappear, such as attack while sneak, and power-attacks no longer work.
obviously, im not curious to find out what more will shut down.
 
If your on 360 go to your hard drive and hit Y for settings and clear cache will be an option it removes all the extra stored data thats hidden on the hard drive.

im on pc :(

(im more and more tempted lately to just re-install morrowind... )
 
thats actually a good idea. My advice as well. Dont play Oblivion. You save your self from a lot of frustration.
 
As is the case with every Bethesda game, unusable saves can not be resuscitated. Protip number 1 is to save often and never delete/overwrite saves.

i thought i would get like a graphics-hangover, missing all the "candies" of oblivion, such as arrows that stick, faces that dont look horrid, but man

playing morrowind again was like seeing an old friend again, all those little charming quirks came back to me.
helloooo, sellable random loot that doesnt regenerate once looted!

if only the modders at "tamriel rebuilt" could hurry it the hell up allready :D
