Pregnancy, Condoms, & Stds (for a female char)

I did some checking on the forums using the search function and didn't find anything similar (and wound up comitting some accidental nercoposting) so here goes.

In FO 2 is it possible as a female char to 1, become pregnant? 2 catch stds?

If so are the condoms actually used for preventing this or are they just the equivalent of post apocalyptic chewing gum?

I ask because I found if you step in the green ooze while rescuing the gecko hunter near the beginning of the game, mid to late game your feet starting burning and you grow a sixth toe.

So given the large amount sex a character can have is it possible to wind up finding out your pregnant at a later date?

Also, given there's drug addiction and you can get poisoned from being a fluffer at the porn studio in Reno, what about stds?

Just thought I'd ask since it's something I've never really found a definitive answer to.
 
No. I played female characters a lot and never got pregnant nor caught STDs.
On the other hand from what I've read a male character can impregnate mrs. Bishop if he has sex with her without condom in inventory.
 
Men can make Ms Bishop pregnant.

As for STDs, working as a fluffer for the porn studio in Reno gets you "poisoned", though working as a porn actor/actress does not. Condoms don't affect this either way.
 
Something that came through my mind while i was reading this post: I never played with a female char so what happens in vault city as a female when as male you are a sperm donor?

Aye, i do remember dating some self absorbed girl there though called phylis as a female charm but she was so awful in the personality dept my char called her syphylis and vowed to never date her again. (not sure if men have the same experience since I never bothered trying with a male toon)

You've mixed things up. Male characters can date (sy)Phyllis for 100XP, but she'll reject female characters.
 
The only use of the condom is to prevent the pregnancy of either of the Bishop women. Read Per's excellent guide for the details of how the pregnancies can effect your endings and keep some rubbers in your inventory if it suits the ending you want.
