Publishers

Backfired

First time out of the vault
In the light of Troika's recent end:

Does anyone know how much of the cash revenue that comes from selling games typically goes to the publisher? What costs does this cover?

Is the publishing industry offering game developers an efficient service (cheaper than they could do it themselves), or is it in the end one of the reasons developing games costs so much?

I'd guess that Publishers take about 50% of the income from games.

Publishers are often the main money source that a game compy got. Like they set goals (milestones) that the company got to reach within a date. Therefor they got to "feed" 2 companys with money (their own and the game devs.), so lots of money will be used.
