Puuk explains intimidation

Where'd That 6th Toe Come From?
On the IPLY feedback forums Damien "Puuk" Foletto has explained how intimidation would be handled in Van Buren:
It's possible to do sub-dual damage with punches and kicks, thus knocking out an opponent. Now, it is even more possible to script the NPC to "say uncle" after getting his butt beat, in effect beating the information out of him. It all depends on where the designers decided to put such scenarios.
Link: Thread@IPLY.

Excellent. Hopefully you can use intimidation more than once. I've always been disapointed that intimidation was under-used or not well implemented in RPGs. The intimidation button in Morrowind for example was useless.

Yes it seems like the very act of wearing menacing power armor and a minigun in your arms would be enough to intimidate your average citizen or leather-armored raider armed only with a pistol. Could the AI get more difficult in an enemy who has been intimidated? Maybe after you pwned them in a fair fight, they would now only try to stab you in the back or when your guard was down?
