Question regarding Fallout 2 - please read

Hi. I'm going to buy both Fallout 1 & 2, and since there's a new "white label" release (on those new dvd cases) coming out in the UK, I was wondering if you could answer to some questions I have regarding Fallout 2:

-can anyone please tell me what's the difference between the US and the UK versions of the game, since they have different patches? Is the UK game the censored version?

-about the "children patch", is this the only thing missing on the censored version (children)? If it is, is a censored version with the "children patch" exactly the same game as the uncensored version?

-how can I tell a version of the game is censored or not? In which countries was this "censored version" released in?

-what's the most complete version of the game available?

I assume both US & UK versions of the 1st game are the same, since there's only one version of the patches. Am I right?

The UK government could deal with sex, drugs, blood flying around and guts sticking to the inside of your monitor, but couldn't bear the thought that anyone might fire some rounds at a child. So they had the children removed. The actual game hasn't changed, since there's only one quest that involves a child (in my memory), and it is non-essential.
The children patch is for those who think censorship sucks and they can make their desiscions for themselves. The only thing it does is placing the children artwork back into the game, and to make it work you have to use the US patch. Essentially, you're turning your copy of Fallout 2 UK version back into a US version.
And yeah, there's only one version of Fallout 1.

Let me give you some hints as well. First finish Fallout 1, then start playing Fallout 2, 'cause the storyline from F1 continues in F2.
Second, when you're ready for F2 and have installed the game, before you do anyhting else install the patch, as it'll corrupt your savegames.
