hi thar!

my samsung sp2504c (80 gb) is running in udma2 mode, which is strange (i think). i encountered this when i had overfed my dvd-drive with old scratched sampler cds and it resetted itself to PIO. so i used the resetdma.vba script (from winhelp.com) to put the 2nd ide controller back to normal (udma2). when i checked the 2 controllers, both showed me udma2.

so... is that normal? i cant recall if the first controller was on another mode before. my whole rig is getting slower, but that may be normal, since it runs a lot of stuff and the harddisk is quite full.

and, if it is not normal, how do i change the dma settings for my harddrive?

thanks in advance!
