Steam Deck and patch

Hi, I am completely noob but I love Fallout. I want to replay it after lot of years on Steam deck. I have gog.com version installed through Heroic launcher and it works perfectly in SteamOS native system. I only wanted to install unoffical patches from comunity. Thing is that all patches are exe files and I (as a complete IT noob) do not know how to make that patch work. Is here someone who is better in this field or already made Fallout 1 work with all patches? (I would love to play it with1.3.5 patch and Hi resolution patch)

EDIT: I just bought both games (F1 and F2) again on steam so now I need to patch Steam version of game

I was wondering about this myself. I've got a Steam Deck and own Fallout 1/2 on several platforms. I've not attempted to get them running but I'm rather curious about how to get related utilities like Falche 2 running, or whatever we use these days, so that I can put together some non-standard starting characters.

Similarly I'm wondering about running mods - I figure I should probably play the Talking Heads That Talk mod, given that I'm in it, but I don't really know where to start on that front.

I suppose I should caveat that - I do know where to start but I'm wondering if someone else has already jumped through the relevant hoops to make it easy. I'm thinking I'd need to get a generic Wine install running to use some of the Windows-based utilities for this stuff but that's something I'd rather avoid if possible.
