Hi everyone, I'm a long time lurker and thought I'd put up some pictures of a Fallout project I just finished.

Google Album (has a couple of 'munny in progress' pics):

Using a 7" Munny as a base, I made it up to look like a suit of power armor. While I probably started it a good two years ago, I only got around to finishing it up the last month or so. It ended up being a combo of 'daaww'-cute and 'hes gonna mess me up'-angry. It was odd doing such a stubby torso - the cod-piece/butt plate went through a few revisions but I like the final look of it, even if it is weird having the stubby 'armored' tail. I used polymer clay for the armor, painted with acrylic, and clear coated it afterwards. If you ever work with polymer clay, find some "liquid polymer clay" to help with smoothing - it would have saved me so many hours carefully smoothing out pieces. As it turned out, I only heard about it half way through and the armor forming really sped up after that. While polymer clay is great to work with, it is dangerous when cooking - when I cooked the clay, I needed to ensure the oven temperature was accurate as the clay cooks at 275 and the vinyl Munny puddles at 300
. After the cooking, I primed it, dremelled some details, did a bunch of coats of paint (and coats and more coats, etc), sealed it up and carefully put it back together!
Let me know if you have any questions and I'll post more 'how it was made' details!
As a shameless plug, if you do want it for a pretty penny, it is up on Ebay until Dec13 (search for 'Fallout Munny' if interested)
