I don't know if anyone has noticed this, but I found out something weird about the subject. I was watching TV late one night, and I heard the name Trader Vic. To MY suprise, the term Trader Vic simply refers to a general store, or a small store to buy supplies. Hence Trader Vic Store. This blew my mind. Interplay had to have gotten this idea for Vic. You know, the trader/NPC you rescue in Fallout 2. Anyway, just thought I'd drop this newly found info (to me anyway).

Incorrect:

Trader Vic's was like a Planet Hollywood of a while back. I think there are still so open in some cities.

Well...that is, this is the meaning for how it was used in the game, as it has been said "Trader Vic's".

I guess that may be...

...but that is not the way I heard it in context. I don't remember exactly what I was watching but it was something like this: "...you can just get something like that at a simple Trader Vic's store...why not go big..?" Something to that extent.
Oh well, enough kicking of the deceased horse.
