Webhosting, .com domain

So a few people asked me to either make them a website or help them put one online.

I was wondering if any of you have positive experience with and/or can recommend a good company for web hosting and making a .com. Only need up to 1GB space, nothing mental, but it would be nice if it was fast.

Of course, the price will be the deciding factor in the end, so the cheapest, most reliable host wins.

Thanks in advance!

Ugh... Requests with half the info missing...

Which kind of language is your site written in (I suspect it won't be static HTML), what backend do you use (MySQL?), what kind of tools do you want at your disposal, is the country where it is hosted important to you. etc etc etc

Sorry, should have put more info! They are just static HTML websites to advertise a business and show some basic info - there won't be any people logging in and changing content, so don't really need any mad tools that go with that sort of work.

MySQL makes sense, however, in case they wanna build some more complex websites in the future.

The country is not especially important.

Do ask for more details - I'm afraid I'm not very knowledgeable about a lot of that stuff, I'm just there to make them a pretty-looking informational website. :)

Pfft, with such light requirements, it doesn't really matter where you host it.

Even faceless behemoths like godaddy would do for this.
