What game(s) have you bought recently?

Cranium Cat oTO

The Darkness: bought it for only 10 euros!
Metal Gear solid 4: let's see if it is as good/bad as they say!

P.S: Don't list your whole collection here! Just name the game(s) that you have bought recently

Mount&Blade. Though the base game is rather flawed, it's still immensely addictive and definitely worth the $40 price. However, the true value of M&B lies in the numerous superb mods, and I personally can hardly wait to see what the modder community will do with v1.0.

PS: Yes, I actually bought a game. With money and shit.

how much money and how much shit to be precise? I'm thinking of buying it and would like to find a nice offer that's not to steep on the shit-part.

Haven't bought any games recently, but I'm thinking of getting Black Shark. The downloadable version is out and it will be another month until the retail release. I prefer hard copy, but I'd sure like to play it already.

Sam and Max Season One.
Was in the mood for adventure games and saw them up on Steam.
Not quite as insane as the Lucasarts game but I heard Season Two picks up a bit.

I suppose it kind of depends on what your definition of "recently" is. I haven't bought anything since Fallout in November.

X-Com: Ufo Defense.

€ 4,99 on Steam.

Ah; the memories.

Mount and blade a few months ago.

I just ordered World War 1 a couple of days ago. It seems that the worst bugs have been ironed out, and a new patch should arrive by the time I receive the game.

Recent games I got:

GTA IV: great game, shitty port. Barely runs on PC, should've waited it out.

Mass Effect: bleh. Another bleh BioWare titles with bleh gameplay and boring-ass longevity. Instant regret.

Mirror's Edge: short but sweet but not for everyone, this massively flawed and massively brilliant first-person platform puzzling. I liked it, but not everyone will. My review should be up at some time.

King's Bounty: The Legend: absolute genius TBS/RPG hybrid, one of the best game of the last year. Brilliant stuff.

Over the last month :

-Left 4 Dead : 33 bucks ( well worth it )
-Beyond Good & Evil : 5 bucks ( WELL worth it )
-Cold Fear : 3 bucks ( mmh )
-GRAW 2 : 7 bucks ( worth it )
-Dead Space : 44 bucks ( WELL WORTH IT )
-E.T Quake Wars : 10 bucks ( why on earth did I buy...this ? )
-GTA IV : 12 bucks in a Cash Converter, probably the cheapest GTA IV copy ever ( lol, who the hell agreed to sell his copy at this price ? Was it stolen or what ? ) : Great game, shitty port, looks a lot better than on my 360 though

Last "new release" I bought was Storm of Zehir back in November or whenever it was. Greatly enjoyed it. OEI have a funny track-record for me personally, as I haven't really enjoyed their full-on games that much, but I consider both NWN2 expansions top-notch (Mask of the Betrayer a bit more).

Also bought Arcanum since I found it for cheap and I can't find my old copy anymore. The thing I miss the most about my old copy is the manual, the new one doesn't have the paper manual which pisses me off a bit, but still. It's definetely a game worth having.

last game i bought were both FO1 & FO2 from gog.com.

now i own it 3 times? oh well...

We already have a "what are you playing" thread, is this one for games you've bought but aren't going to play?

I just made this thread so people can talk about their recent game purchases and stuff. But you are right, it IS actually a bit similar to the "What are you playing" thread. don't know, if you think it's pointless then VAT it.

it's to sort out the pirates - see someone posting about playing a new game but not posting in here that they bought it? clearly a pirate ;)

I bought Max Payne 1/2 on a Steam sale a month or two ago... Haven't actually had time to load them up yet on my computer :-\.

Or maybe someone isn't interested in talking about what they pay money for, rather than actual content of games. I was going to post some of the games I bought, but after this post - fuck it, I won't talk about it on principle.. :P
Ok, maybe I'll give one:

Cryostasis - Sleep of Reason, and it was worth it.

I picked up:

Left 4 Dead (before Xmas) and love it.

I bought the Dawn of War Complete Bundle yesterday, and am enjoying it quite a bit.
