What ultimatelly can not be done

Hi. I was thinking about making a mod of sorts for fo2 or fo1 using available tools like sfall etc. So the first thing I want to know before I even start planning is what are the limits? Is there any limit to what extent I can change dialogs, scripted events? Maybe there is limitations on sprites/tiles/objects per area? How much can be the world map changed regarding locations placement, their quantity. Is there any harcoded stuff that just can't be avoided regarding gameplay or interface? Or anything I should know about before starting my own mod.
Also, if anybody can share links to some mods that use advanced features and in-depth modifications, that will help alot.

Uhm, really depends on what you want to do and if it is a sane idea. Everything you see in the vanilla games is possible to do, and thanks to Sfall, some more even. At this point there is hardly anything that can't be done with some trickery.

Can't really tell you your limits without knowing what you want to do.
