Obviously from a Fallout persective, that is if you love the old games they all do a terrible job, doesn't matter if you talk about Pete, Tod or Emil. However, that isn't saying much about what kind of people they are in real live. They could be loving fathers and helping old people cross the street or with their groceries and such stuff.
I mean who knows? They could be really funn and cool dudes to hang out with - albeit I doubt it, if the topic would be about RPGs and Fallout.
Agreed, not about them in their person lives, but professional. I think the issue is the transition or de-evolution of them as a franchise holder. Expectations. Promises and history. If Skyrim was an indie dev's first game, it would be praised by all with the hope of potential. With Fallout 4, with obviously a different name, by an indie Dev, that being their first game, the hope of potential would be massive. It is that they did make good games, they have abandoned what made3 their games good, traded it for quick cash. Most everything they do now seems like ease cash grabs with no effort.
They have many reputations. When you think of a Bethesda game, you might have some warm thoughts to one of your favorite memories, but as a company, do you have any fond memories of Bethesda? I do, back in the era of Morrowind, when they made mods and shared them. My fond memories of them as a company have only diminished.
- Oblivion, one person making dungeons.
- Fallout 3, Oblivion with guns.
- Skyrim, paid mods
- ESO, no one asked for an MMO, they asked to be able to play with 'their' friends, not everyone in an MMO
- Fallout 4, mod theft. Pete Hines being a dick to fans of the series.
