Super Bunnyhop explains the value of having a Fallout 4 spin-off

Irwin John Finster

Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
Watched this and thought it was great at making an argument for allowing Obsidian to make another Fallout game that would provide the best of both worlds. It also makes a good point that Fallout 4 is an amazing foundation for what could be a great game if someone like Obsidian would come along and put some good quests and dialogue into it so that it had both the qualities of a great singleplayer RPG as well as the option to engage in the repetitive MMORPG grindfests (settlement crafting, base clearing, etc.).

He also makes good points for less traditional Fallout spinoffs and even an isometric Fallout game to please older fans.

As I said in my Obsidian/dialogue thread, I think they're the right people to do a spin-off again.

But at the same time, they're also the right people to do a Vampire the Masquerade game for White Wolf/Paradox too. :P

I don't want them stretched too thin, but at the same time I want them to do everything. >_>

Plus they are already occupied with Armored Warfare, which being an MMO needs constant "maintenance".

I love Bunnyhop's videos and this one I agree with. To an extent. More New Vegas's and Tactics games would be a blessing, I think. Just less smartphone garbage and more substantial software would be appreciated. Don't Fallout Shelter it.

Agreed. We need spin-offs.

Super Bunnyhop has made it no secret that New Vegas is probably his favorite video game of the previous generation of games and he says modded New Vegas is one of the best games of all time, so this video seems to be more of a plea for a second Obsidian Fallout game rather than for Fallout: Angry Birds.

So yes, Obsidian Fallout. Make it happen. Now.

Aren't they partnered with some Russian developer that can handle the maintenance?

Yeah I think so. So it's possible!

They are basically making the game for Mail.ru, who is just a publisher.
And they have to work on the game themselves, it's still in relatively early open beta stage and development of games of this type pretty much never ends. Not only bugs and glitches to take care of, but rebalances, new vehicles, features and so on. If you look at World of Tanks and War Thunder, those games are completely different than two or three years ago. It's going to be the same with WA.

Have Bethesda handle the mechanics except for the leveling system and dialogue, but have Obsidian handle the writing and world design, plus the aforementioned leveling and dialogue. Boom. Instant GOTY 10/10. And it wouldn't take many assets away from AW, since it'll mainly be the story guys being taken away, and if memory serves, AW is very story light.

Or in an ideal world, take the franchise away from Bethesda entirely, so they can't run it into the ground, anymore than they already have.

You assuming I think FNV isn't the highpoint of the series, because it seamlessly blended the BethSoft style with the classic WRPG style.

Give it to Obsidian or InXile, someone who knows what they're doing.
