Stuff you have that youll probably never play, watch, or use again?

I've never even played this game and I don't know where it came from or why it's on my shelf.

This one was a freebie that came from a coworker when he sold me his ps3. I remember being entertaining enough when I had it on psp in like 2009 but I don't see myself ever revisiting it.

Fun game like a 6 or a 7.25/10 at the highest but there's not much this game offers that the old DMC games don't. Altho I remember the archery sections being wicked fun.
 
I have two copies of Bullet Storm that I got when I used to do focus group testing in Uni (~8 years ago). Also have a copy of Dragon Age 2. All three are sealed in their wrappers and I doubt I will ever play them.

Also a plethora of Steam games that came bundled in various humble bundles I've purchased which I'll never touch.
 
Anyone else play through a game and eventually drops it because you really do know everything and have done everything of consequence?

It's why I like procedural generation and some randomness sometimes, keeps things fresh, though Roguelikes and their lack of multiple saves is going to far in that direction.

To bad most quests are outside the realm of being generated in a good way, though some logical things like escorts, deliveries and the stuff like that might be used to fill up a world.

But even NV gets 'known' to me too much and I put it down, and this is wayyyy before the 1000 hour mark. I guess I'm just one of those neophiles.

To answer OP, I've put down Far Cry 2, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Valkyria Chronicles, Fallout 1, 2, Tactics, NV, and 4; CiV, Tropico 3 and 4, Xenonauts, Enter The Gungeon. Games I'll probably drop are Satellite Reign, Mount and Blade, Darkest Dungeon, and maybe even og Xcom (there's only so much open xcom can do).
 
I doubt I'll ever watch Avatar again.
That film bored me when I first watched it.

In terms of games... I don't know...
I like to revist games every few years and just play them for a little bit.

I guess the one that comes to mind however is Ridge Racer on the PSP, I used to have a lot of fun with that game, sadly my copy is broken.

Destiny is another game I doubt I'll ever touch again.

Fallout Brotherhood of steel is another game I won't go near...
 
El Shaddai, Lolipop Chainsaw, Marvel vs Capcom 3...

Most of the games I owned on the 360 really.
 
Most of my DS games. Played pretty much all of them to ad naseaum and i have over 30 DS games. Might replay a few of them, but most of them are pretty much in the "i don't want to play anymore" list.
 
I have an Xbox One, my only game for it is the Master Chief Collection. Back in 2013 I gambled on which console was going to end up being the better, and I got a bad roll. Ended up buying a PS4 for Bloodborne and the Phantom Pain anyway, and the Xbone has just collected dust for five years now.

Despite all the fan hate deadrising 3 is a good and fun game.
 
A couple of years I decided to try to sell everything I was no longer playing with, reading, or watching.
Or just give it away or in some cases throw it away such as my near complete set of Star Trek Voyager video tapes. (who these days still remembers video tapes. I couldn't even given them to a charity store)
I kept the Indiana Jones tapes for nostalgia reasons.

I sold my PSP with all of its games. Only title I really miss is Dead Head Fred.

I sold almost my entire MSX games collection. Occasionally I mourn that but it is for the best, I couldn't play these games anyway as they were all in Japanese and I foresee that market in the future collapsing as the number of people who remember the MSX and are still interested in collecting games will decline.

I sold almost my entire Amiga game collection. Mostly the same reasons as the MSX collection, I foresee that that market will eventually collapse.
There is still a hardcore group of Amiga hobbyists but I don't think that number will increase.

In the future the new "retro" will probably the the third or fourth generation of consoles while all non PC home computers will disappear.

Several PS2 games I was no longer going to play anymore (I had the Sonic games collections but they don't play as well as the original games).

I still have a bunch of PC games I hope some collectors might be interested in but a lot of them will probably end up being thrown away.

Still have a lot of books I want to sell, mostly ones by Larry Niven when I had an interest in the Known Space books.
A bunch of Star Trek ones I bought cheap myself, read once and am no longer interested in reading.
And perhaps I am also going to sell a lot of those Star Wars (Legends) books such as the X-Wing ones and Young Jedi Knights. Other than Zahn's Heir to the Empire/Hand of Thrawn books and the Han Solo Adventures by Brian Daley I have pretty much lost all interest in Star Wars books

Then I also have a number of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis DVD boxes and a Stargate SG-1 DVD I will try to sell in case there are still people interested in those, but DVD will probably also go the route of the videotape.

I do. For a long time it was the only way I could watch the black cauldron before I finally managed to hunt down a dvd copy of it

Also jeez @The Dutch Ghost I have a lot of old games and tech I never use, like that VCR there, but I couldn't imagine selling them. I guess I just love the novelty of owning old stuff.
 
I remember VHS.
My older brother has a complete set of Guyver VHS (an old anime from the 80's).

Used to have Akira too with the old dub.
Honestly, the Blu Ray set of Akira easily replaces it, better picture and it comes with both dubs too. It's honestly the best version of the film.

Remember watching the old special editions of Star Wars on VHS, man that was a cool boxset.
Got no need for it now (I tracked down a DVD release with both the inferior 2004 release and the unaltered 1993 versions).
 
These are games I bought just because I thought it'd be neat to have them. (I do that a lot it's a problem)

The thing was I was not doing anything any more with a lot of the things I had bought to play years ago or just for the sake of collecting.
It was taking up quite a lot of space on my shelves and after a while I started asking myself if I still had the passion for these owning these games as I had earlier, especially when my budget became more and more limited.

I did enjoy owning some of my favorite MSX and Amiga games at the time though I did went a little overboard and also started buying games I had never played just because I liked what they looked like or were considered some of the best titles on the platform.
That is also how I got to own a mint copy of Project Firestart for the Commodore 64. (they really should remake this one for mobile platforms, basically a side scrolling survival game with lots of Alien influences)

As for selling my video player, well with a lot of old movies and serious now out on modern platforms with much better details there seemed to be little point in holding on to it.

If I would ever start collecting games again I would it to be titles I have a personal connection to. They would also have to be games for which I still have the hardware to play them on.
 
This movie is fun exactly once.

I've tried repeat viewings of this one and I just can't get through it a second time.
I unironically feel this is fun concept that could be done better in a remake. You don't remake something that's perfect. You don't remake ghostbusters. You remake six string samurai. Because that's a movie you can do better. If only Hollywood could just grasp that concept.
