More like we wanted to make an RPG with several non-combat paths. Naturally, combat plays a large role in combat playthrough but can be completely avoided in non-combat ones.
All are excellent options. I hear EA is looking for an action franchise. I'm sure they are all huge fans and will give the game same treatment Bethesda gave Fallout.
Thanks!
You threatened him and forced him to do what he didn't want. He didn't like that.
You have 3 options there:
- convince the captain
- threaten him
- convince the local lord to have all the survivors killed
So, if you can't convince the captain, have him killed. It's not what's best...
Re: wat
Possibly, but AoD is not a spiritual successor to Fallout. It's inspired by Fallout and Arcanum, but it's not the same thing.
The quote describes the world and explains 'decadence' in the title. It doesn't fucking matter what book it came from. Can you not understand that...
Re: wat
Out of few thousand comments (the demo was released last March, so we got plenty of feedback), only two people couldn't understand the setting (you and another guy), so yeah, it's on you.
No. If you don't like the free demo, which was released for this very purpose, I can guarantee...
Play the game to find out?
It's not a comeback. It's a factual statement.
The quote is about the setting. It explains the word 'decadence' in the title and let you know what to expect.
"That kind of thing is common here. Conspiracies and assassinations and naked power-grabs. All the fun...
They do, but BG is a much simpler game. It was an action-adventure game with adjustable stats whereas Fallout was a true role-playing game.
I dislike the very concept of target audience and believe that nothing good came out of it. I'd rather see developers making games they want to play...
I didn't say that. I said something along the lines that it's clear that the game has a very limited appeal, which isn't the same as being surprised that people don't like it. Sure, I wish we had 5,000+ pre-orders instead of 500+, but it's hard to say whether or not such wishes are even remotely...
Which locations?
Arroyo is a tribal village. Klamath is a small trapper town where people live in ruined pre-war buildings. The Den is a slightly bigger town, but still set in ruins (i.e. people haven't even reached a point where they start building towns - for example settle in ruins, then...
Not really. The Roman armor (segmentata) is fairly easy to manufacture, especially in a post-apocalyptic environment. Basically, it's just a bunch of stripes, leather or metal. I think it's much easier to string several overlapping leather stripes together than make a proper leather armor.
I...
The quest design is much better (which makes NV a lot more replayable (if you can tolerate the combat and the engine)). If the game had challenging combat, preferably not real time (similar to Wiz 8, maybe?) and better character system? Maybe it would have been a better game, but that's a big...
