This is actually a very good point. As someone who roleplays getting into Vegas taking a little more time than the absolute breeze it is if you know what you're doing some more content outside of Vegas would be nice.

I just go with "Courier" which I think fits with them either being a background character doing the major player's dirty work or the events of NV being what makes them relevant. Who they were before they stepped into the Mojave doesn't matter, history will remember him/her as "The Courier"...
