I don't like how MGS3 has mostly linear level design. MGS4 starts off the same way, but gets more interesting after the first act and actually has quite varied gameplay. MGS2 and MG2 SS are the best for me (I prefer the feeling of being in an actual place, rather than being pushed along a corridor).

I think the first is fine, now that the character models don't blend with the ground so much. The only issue is the really bright patch on the left, which is irritating. Probably a problem with the lighting rather than than the amount of colour. Maybe they could just darken the ground.

This would allow them to remove RPG completely.

By modern standards Doom has great level design, in that you feel like you're traversing a complex, rather than a corridor made to look like one. They might of already fucked this with Doom 3 though, I haven't played it.

It's ridiculous to compare the worst aspect of the AvP franchise with the best aspect of the Predator and Alien franchise (the movies that is). There's an Alien reference in Predator 2 btw.

The British would still prefer an independent state over Argentinean rule. And for economic and military purposes it would anyway function as a British territory. Only now you could end up with a US presence as well.
