    What game was this?

Flop: I made a guess for Per's image on Page 14 which is the right one. The problem is that Per hasn't posted in the thread since then. The game is Gribbley's Day Out. I'm not taking a turn for it, though.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.2 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Sounds to me like the thieving little tykes ran off with the lampposts again.

    Peter Molyneux hates demos

Right. So the man who went from being a somewhat-known name on a couple of close-to-death platforms back in the early 90's to a nigh-on God of programming in the mid-90's, due to the awesome demos of games such as Syndicate, Magic Carpet, Theme Park and Dungeon Keeper on the PC, is now trying to...

    Gothic 3 : The Horror

That's why I'm waiting for the Quest Pack by Humanforce to be finally released in English. One of the many things it fixes is that loot is no longer random. But yes, the battle at the beginning is a wonderful lesson in stupidity. I would not use such a bold statement. I mean, Gothic 3 has...

    Is that Army Moves?

    What game was this?

It is Chaos Engine. The only thing I'm not quite sure on if it's the original (most likely) or the sequel.

    What game was this?

Stag got the game right, Dead Guy got the towns right. The pic is from the PC EGA version, which might explain their look. (I played it on a CGA comp, for anyone that cares.) The second one is still up for grabs.

    What game was this?

Oops. Sorry about the mistake with the images. I've fixed them, they should display now.

    What game was this?

That's Scorched Earth. Does that mean I have 2 turns now? Give me a sec and I'll dig up something. EDIT: Pic 1. The game should be obvious, the challenge is if you can tell me the names of the two towns in the screenshot. Pic 2: EDIT: Corrected blunder.

Need advice from tech-savvies regarding VHS To DVD transfers

Interesting news about the Panasonic dividing into chapters. Many of the tapes are just like that, and it would be good to have that option. To my knowledge, none of the tapes were recorded with Longplay, so the tape head problem should not be as severe.

    Bingo. Got it in one.

    What game was this?

MrBumble: Your game is Discs Of Tron, IIRC. EDIT: Try this one.

    What game was this?

Marble Madness. I'll try to toss up a picture sometime later.

Need advice from tech-savvies regarding VHS To DVD transfers

Thanks for the input so far. I'm not copying commercial tapes, and most of the stuff I've been asked to transfer is unavailable on DVD, and will likely never be released on it either. Part of my job will be indexing the tapes and their contents, deciding what to keep, what to throw away and what...

Need advice from tech-savvies regarding VHS To DVD transfers

I've been approached with the task of transferring video on VHS over to a more modern medium, like DVDs or just as video files on a computer. I've done some basic online research on the matter, but it's hard finding a decent answer as most articles on it are several years old. So I thought I'd...

    What game was this?

I'm supposed to know this game, but the name escapes me. It's not one of the Outpost games, that much is certain.

    Eschalon

It's a dungeon crawler released 15 years too late. It has some retarded design decisions, but if you like old-school RPGs then you can't really go wrong with this one.

    Batman Arkham Asylum

Are you sure you've played all the superhero games out there? To be more precise, have you played all the Batman games out there? I may trolling a bit here, but "creativity" is not a word I would use to describe Arkham Asylum. A game containing creativity would not be so repetetive, and...

ASCAP Wants My Money... Can They Take It?

Then my suggestion is that until you can absolutely verify that the e-mail comes from ASCAP, consider it a phishing attempt. That many grammar errors in a single paragraph should set off several alarm bells, especially when it's supposed to come from an official "society".
