    If you could expand Fallout...

Excuse me but this thread is about expanding Fallout which obviously includes Fallout 3 as well as the previous games. And also light and sound were going to have quite a depth based impact on the stealth/deceptive play styles and sneaking/stealing skills of Van Buren. I thought we all wanted...

    The Glow

Ok fine, you make a decent point. To answer your question though I'm pretty sure that close range is basically between 10 and 20 miles from the initial air burst. At that range pretty much any amount of metal will vaporize, because a nuclear blast isn't A LIGHTNING BOLT!!!! An air burst is...

    accessories and charisma

Very good ideas, I've always wanted the ability to hide a flak vest under my leather jacket, and maybe a gas mask for self protection against harmful compounds in the environment. By the way when I was in the advanced Enclave power armor every time I tried to speak to one of the Mordino...

    If you could expand Fallout...

Oh come on, they're only thoughts, and if the upgrade means making it better and similar to another game so be it, but this can easily be done to secure the feeling/atmosphere of FO. Plus that's only for the deceptive/stealth element, you could easily balance these issues so they'd work...

    The Glow

That seems probable a nuclear weapon generates over 10,000,000 degrees F of heat from the initial blast, and also the compression and shock would help vaporize/destroy everything. At close range from a nuclear blast metal does vaporize so I'd imagine that the facility shouldn't exist. I'm not...

    If you could expand Fallout...

Yes you got that right I am an expert. Advancing gameplay elements to boost their enjoyment factor is fine, and deception/stealth is one of the major gameplay solutions to most quests so adding to them is a good idea. And Splinter Cell just happens to have a few things that most open ended games...

    Playing *AS* Mad Max

I'm wondering about something. I really don't think Mad Max would have a charisma of only 2 out of 10. Charisma is a combination of socially acceptable behavior, charming qualities, and social skills but does strongly focus on physical features and overall appearance too. I always thought he was...

    If you could expand Fallout...

Great ideas, but you see the silencers aspect would only work if the realism, logic, continuity, and artificial intelligence were dramatically upgraded to (hopefully) Splinter Cell Chaos Theory quality. It's very possible because Bethesda is experimenting with something called radiant A.I. which...

    Chems and Chem interactions...

Well, of course the side effects would hinder and affect your character's physical/mental attributes/stats, decreasing/increasing their functions. But a visual array of animations that give you an idea of how it's affecting him/her is a nice idea. The initial performance enhancing elements would...

    If you could expand Fallout...

I for one would like more alternative options for the approach and completion of quests i.e. arson perks that actually work well (can we say burn down the building while your enemies are still in it or smoke them out, it could also be a great boost to your intimidation antics). To have this...

    accessories and charisma

Not a bad idea, if it were properly designed and tested. It shouldn't be nearly as stupid as in Fable, so it could work, what you mentioned seems interesting though. I've always thought though that chemical stimulants boosting charisma is unrealistic and stupid. Charisma is basically social...

Please Please Please Keep "Bloody Mess Perk"

Well, you always had that option in every FO game(Fallout/Fallout 2 at least)so I would imagine Bethesda wouldn't take that possibility out. But there would always be a nearly limitless amount of people as available candidates for random encounters so the possibility to kill every single person...

    What i wouldnt mind seeing

What?! What do you mean "make it PG!"? Hell no, make it realistic and humorous at the same time i.e. rated M for Mature. Jeez Fallout rated PG(Teen)would be a horrible mistake. They'd take out all the decent violence, language, and sexual interests. Fallout has to stay desperate, violent, and...

    Chems and Chem interactions...

I believe that's called immersion, and yes it is a very important element of what make RPG's so special. An open ended RPG of Fallout's quality has to focus on hundreds of little but well designed touches that immerse the player in subtle and sublime ways. I'd love to see things like that in...

    Old School weaponry

The sniper rifle is one of my personal favorite projectile weapons. In Fallout I was able to take out the Death Claw with 3 taregeted shots to the eyes from my sniper rifle at close range, a small guns skill of 165%, a perception of 7, and a luck of 5. I love sniper rifles they're awesome...

    Worst Possible things for FO3?

Um when I said "try not to be so harsh with your comments please" I said please(maybe I should have put a question mark)You don't have to be so hostile all the time. I agree with what you said though about real-time combat not working well in Fallout. Ok moving on.

    What i wouldnt mind seeing

Oh, in that case yeah. I always loved the violence factor in Fallout, but I always wanted more elaborate detailed death animations. Hell we all know Fallout 3 will have a 3-D rotational zoom camera(hopefully with the option to lock a specific angle and elevation i.e. isometric)so why not have...

    What i wouldnt mind seeing

What? That's all true information given, it's an effective round but lack the mass and weight to have true stopping power, it's obviously more effective in accurately controled bursts. Nevermind it's not the right place to share logical info though.

    Worst Possible things for FO3?

You really need to lighten up, I've played both Fallout and Fallout 2 in great depth trying different gameplay dynamics and I currently own both, I play them regularly. Why can't I just post an idea? As I clearly pointed out I'm thinking out loud and I've come here for you "experienced RPG fans"...

Please Please Please Keep "Bloody Mess Perk"

I liked it but it wasn't really needed, I always took gifted and small frame. I thought it was a fun game element but maybe you could get the bloody mess option through a random encounter, just a thought.
