    Wasteland 2 Kickstarter Update #14

Since Fallout clearly borrows many concepts from Wasteland, I'm pretty sure they won't try that.

    Neogamr Wasteland 2 interview

I don't know that inXile necessarily felt all the pain of the publisher decision, if that's what you're thinking. Developers are usually paid by the publisher as they produce the game, so if it's cancelled at the last minute it's really the publisher who loses out.

    Fallout Game for a Moron

Sorry, but this is completely bizarre to me. I have never gone through this much trouble to enter the vault, and I have never asked Lynette's permission to do so. I do not know why you're having such trouble with this, but I have never encountered anything like this in many games of Fallout 2...

Legend of Grimrock, old school dungeon crawler RPG

I'm not super far into the game and I don't have the gift for intuitive optimization that some people have, but the throwing rogues don't strike me as all that underpowered so far. Do the weapons just not keep up or something?

Legend of Grimrock, old school dungeon crawler RPG

I'm pretty sure the in-game description calls it a "reach" weapon.

Wasteland 2 Kickstarter Update #10, First concept art

The art used in the original Wasteland game was way too primitive and sparse to really be relevant. The connections between NV and Wasteland are evident to anyone who has played both games, but there's no reason for the games to resemble each other so strongly on a aesthetic level.

Wasteland 2 Kickstarter Update #10, First concept art

I like the art, but it comes across as very New Vegas. I was hoping for a bit more distinction between WL2 and NV.

    Old Word Blew

I didn't really like it, either, and all of the Wasteland references felt kind of forced.

    All your History: Interplay

It's pretty safe to say that the counter-factual still wouldn't include a currently healthy Interplay. The company was going down the tubes well before Caen took over.

Fallout 1/2/Tactics on sale, and more tidbits

Interplay almost certainly received no royalties from these games. There's no real reason they should have since they sold the license. Really, Interplay died 10 years ago. There's no point in mourning the rotting husk of a company that remains.

Thanks for spoiling Das Boot, jerk.

    W2 graphics

I'm expecting something that looks nicer than Age of Decadence, but not by a lot.

    Wasteland 2 Kickstarter has launched

Also, he wasn't really creatively involved with either of the Fallouts in a significant way, so I'm not really sure how much that counts toward his track record.

Rock Paper Shotgun Wasteland 2 interview

New Vegas had an engine and a lot of assets already, though. I'm not sure the situation is really all that comparable.

Rock Paper Shotgun Wasteland 2 interview

I was honestly expecting something more like two years, but my impression of the game's scope may be incorrect.

    Falklands

The "how so" is that fact that the islands have been under British control for 180 years. Maybe they should belong to Argentina morally, but they don't and haven't for a long time. I actually find your arguments fairly persuasive, although I find the intensity of your zeal to be a huge...

    Falklands

This sounds like a good argument in favor of Britain's refusal to relinquish their claim.

    Fallout New Vegas: Story inconsistency?

This is a great point, that segues nicely into another. In a practical sense, in an open, non-linear game like New Vegas, there's always a risk that the story line can be "broken" by the player. To guard against that you either have to make the story much simpler, and thus harder to break due...

    Fallout GURPS Vision Statement

I really wish Junktown had presented the moral ambiguity suggested by this document. Although I still like the town, the more I learn the more it feels like a missed opportunity.
