How did you get your nick?

Mine's a random collection of syllables. The original collection of syllables was "Toresico", but I decided to make it Toresica becuase that sounded more feminine. When I first made a screen name it was Trawets, which derives from my last name.

The State of the Union Address Drinking Game 2004

I won't be. I may be an uninformed non-participating Canadian, but it's not our speech. I've never heard of the State of the Union Address before - but anything that involves drinking can't be that bad. Have fun, I guess

    Fraud Email

Yahoo! is a lot better. I've only gotten three spam e-mails in almost three years - and they were last year.

    Fraud Email

You don't specifically need to use a Hotmail address for MSN. I use my Yahoo! address, and it works fine.

    Fraud Email

I did that with my school e-mail account in high school. But I use my school e-mail this year, so I created a spam account at hotmail. I've only had a grand total of three spam e-mails to my Yahoo! account (it a little less then three years).

    The American Image

I don't know much about American politics, just because I'm not American. But I have a lot to say here, so I'm going to say it anyway. I apologize if anything I'm saying is horribly uninformed. Having two senators per state: An advantage of that system is that you will always have a...

    computers in the news

Sure, but since people aren't actually do that, then we still have a problem of too many obsolete computers lying around.

    Fraud Email

You actually read your spam e-mail? I got a couple of those. I don't even use Internet Explorer in the first place. I've gotten a couple of those. Definitely I product I will never consume. I got a bunch of ads for breast enlargement too. And ways to earn money.

    best avatar competition-

I made mine myself too. I make them in a few different colours, too - red and green for Christmas, yellow and purple for Easter, black and orange for halloween, and blue and black for fun. STFU (I'm surprised you noticed that, actually.) *cough*

Yours looks pretty cool. No idea where it's from. What about mine?

    computers in the news

That's really cool. I wonder if people can use that system to find a solution to the "what do we do with all these obsolete computers" problem.

I heard two people in Edmonton actually fell for it.

*looks back* Hey, I only wrote annex once.

    Favorite Flicks of 2003?

What, are you nuts? You actually liked Lost in Translation? I saw it with my family when they came to visit me a few days before my 18th birthday: none of us could stand it, so we ended up leaving with a third of the movie left. Our sole consolation was that since it was a few days before my...

    expect delays in travel

How are they going to ensure that the "armed sky-marshals" aren't terrorists, though? I mean, I know they have high levels of security screening so on, and anybody who gets such a trusted position will be considered very safe and reliable, but my gut instinct is that it's not a good idea to...

    Cold and snowed-in

I've never actually had a green Christmas. (According to Environment Canada we technically had a green Christmas, but that was just 'cause there wasn't any recent snow. There was a thorough coating of old snow - when I looked out the window I sure didn't see any green. - and that was the...

If you could rule any country for a month, what would it be?

I'd rather take over Ontario then just Canada. Then I could make Thunder Bay the capital of Ontario, instead of Toronto - teach them torontonians a little lesson. I could also fix the little law that meant I had to write three exams in every subject in grade 12, give my university, and...

    The American Image

True. Uh... not really any examples I can think of of Canada doing a good job in the chuch/state arena. Both the French and the English version of the National Anthem contain references to God or faith: "God keep our land glorious and free" in English, and the French version has: "Car ton...

    The American Image

You seem to be mixing up Atheism and Agnosticism. Atheists are sure that there is no God, while Agnostics feel that there may or may not be a God - we just can't know. Paladin Solo, how would you feel about having to stand up every morning and say, "The earth is flat. The Sun travels in a...
