.44 mag bug?

Just noticed that, in my current FO2 game, a hit the .44 Mag revolver seems to always result in no damage unless it's a crit, and then it's a coin toss. It's with JHP thus far--have yet to get FMJ into it to test.

A bug in one of the updates? I'm running Killap's 1.02+ Patch, Version A, but I haven't noticed it in the last game.

Reposted here after my mistake in posting in the wrong spot first, and thanks to Sander for being so very polite in pointing out my oversight.

And pardon me if a bug like this has been discussed. A quick search didn't bring anything up.
 
I'm sure I did. Don't see it in the main folder, so unless it's hiding in the Data folder, it's gone.

Started a new game to check (I wasn't that far along, anyway), and it seems to be doing fine on addicts. I noticed the bug against mole rats and geckos to begin, so I'm thinking maybe the update just missed a couple critters.

EDIT: Nope, just checked again. Still same thing.

Would my saved game work after a reinstall? Maybe after just a repatch?
 
Bah. Reinstalled FO2 (1.02, with Patch000.dat), deleted Patch000.dat, installed Killap's, and it's still doing it. So, unless .44 JHP has a *serious* problem with armor, it's still buggy.

I'm willing to make a crack at fixing this myself. Assuming it's as simple as I think it should be, which it's probably not, does anyone know which particular file defines the .44 revolver, .44 ammo's, and have a suggestion for an applicable editor?
 
I installed my F2, 1.0, used Killap's patch with 1.02 included and didn't have any problems with inflicting damage.
 
Well, that's not the case here.

I think I'll try the other version of his update and check.
