a few new movies (sequels) in the making

You can see some things about them on www.scifimoviepage.com

I'm talking about Transformers 2 and X-files 2.

OK, a sequel to Transformers was to be expected because it did quite well and from what i've seen on this page the story seems to be good, although it is very straightforward and unimaginative. But you're not going to watch a movie like that for the story, now are you.

I don't really know about X-files 2. Why did they need to resurrect this one ? Granted the series was popular and talk about a second movie was widespread. The emphasis should be on 'was'. Is it really popular enough at this moment ? And do we really need to have Mulder and Scully back ? I'm just afraid that it will be one more episode that wont be totaly wrapped up when the movie ends (most movies these days are open ended but it gets really annoying at times)

Honestly, I think the X-Files movie could be good if done properly. Transformers 2... Can't say I didn't see that coming. ... WALSH YOU LIED, WHERE IS SERENITY 2!!!

I think that Terminator needs to just have a fucking movie set after the apocalypse already. They can't avoid it this time unless they go back in the past.

I'm still waiting for Aliens 2. Though I hear Cameron is working on a new scifi thriller which will tie in with an Aliens game, and he's keeping it hush hush.

Just thinking about it makes me horny.

That's what some people think Avatar is because Sigourney Weaver is in it and the plot is somewhat passable as an Alien sequel. It's highly unlikely though.

IMDB plot synopsis: (spoilers?)
In a distant future, humanity discovers the planet 'Alpha Centauri B-4', and for those scientists and astronauts who've traversed the gulf between neighboring suns and arrived on its alien soil know it as 'Pandora'. A world filled with an incredible diversity of beautiful and deadly ammonia-breathing lifeforms. Its also a world that harbors treasures and resources almost beyond price. But just as the original Pandora's Box wrought devastation on those who would use it for their own gain, so too this world may destroy not just the Pandorans home, but ours as well.
