Liver and Fallout.....makes sense to me. :D

DS, try rehosting the image through imageshack or something.

Nice pic but it's too clean.
Some parts of the houses look like painted 2 days ago, while some look like 200 years old.

True. There might be foodcans, tools or weapons hidden in one of the countless appartments. :D *drool*

I knew all the time the picture you posted looked familiar. It reminds me of Primal Rage!

This picture is from the video game Primal Rage.
I hope seeing this explains further what I mean with TOO CLEAN (in relation to your picture).
The ancient look on the rotting skyscrapers combined with the jungle growing in and on it is pretty neat.

The 'Truck Stop' pic is unconcievably better than the abandoned city one.

Excellent pictures all of them!

The first picture looks like a human abandoned city near a jungel where nature is reclaiming its territory...makes me think of a plague apocalypse where no one survives to scavenge everything and its all left to the plants and animals.

duckman, you should go to Poland and take a ride through the old villages and abandonned soviet and nazi bunkers, or the abandonned living-blocks on the border to germany. The borderpolice back in days was living there, after everything fell apart, they abandoned the stuff. Looks like mini-chernobyl. I also once had some pictures I took in poland of an old abandoned industrial trainstation at a factory. Looked pretty creepy.

What Soviet bunkers? Abandoned living blocks? What fell apart?

Strictly speaking, bunkers* in Poland were either built by the Polish army or by the nazis during the occupation. Hitler's HQ is in northern Poland, near a town called Kostrzyn. After the Russkies "Liberated" Poland, they didn't build Russki bunkers. The bunkers and missile installations were all made by The army of People's Republic of Poland (PRL), called LWP.

*bunkers as in post WW1. There are a lot of Russian fortifications dating from the 19th Century all over the place. My school is located in such a thing, and incidentally, Wajda's filming a new movie there.

As for the old villages, they look like villages. Nothing intrinsically post-apocalyptic in an old Polish village, unless your idea of post-apoc are asbestos roofs and crumbling wood planks amidst the mooing of cows and tacky techno music.

What living blocks? I never heard of a whole special town built and then abandoned near the border to Germany, and it sounds a bit suspicious to me, especially since East Germany was also Communist at the time, and the big policing took place over there, at the border with the "free" world.

Got any, like, proofs? The names of the mysterious Soviet bunkers no-one in Poland ever heard of, and the border police ghost town? Pics?
Maps?

I don't know how it's called and it's not really a whole town, it was just a military living area, it's next to a highway pretty close to the german border. I'll ask my parents.

I thought the sovjets also built bunkers. So I was wrong. Only Nazi bunkers... and that what Wooz explained. :D

Sounds good to me! Maybe Bethesda will use it in F3.
