About "Fool' people...

why are you so interested in fool people? I mean, there is some guy that says or ask something stupid like "I installed Fallout but I can't find it! where it's???" Or, "I'm a great hex editor but I can't use Undat, please, tell me how to do it!!".
Why do you take them as if they were the "God of Stupidity"

Stupidity is a reality, that's a fact, so, we have to live with it. Attacking stupidity is just being stupid like them, because, in an indirect way, you're being involved with them, and, so, you're being involved with stupidity itself!

Hey, Xotor, I *love* that sign "Ignorance is acceptable, stupidity is not".
But, I have one that I think is better... "Live and let live, please, don't fuck"

While some sucker sends you 30.000 ICQ URLs messages saying that if you don't send 30.000 messages to everyone, his computer is going to blow away, and they, in a desperate try to save his computer start to lag everybody on the net by sending those messages....
When he finished, he feels happy...
Someones doesn't care that and just delete the message...
Others start to nuke him with everything they have, trying to destroy his computer... Aren't you doing what he just did to you? And, you're doing with the intention, so, you're doing *stupid things* with the consent!!!!

Well... some reflexions over here... Every opinion is good, or no?

There is such thing as order. Believe it or not, Internet is not meant to be free. It is strictly divided (yeah, just like a pie) between Internet providers and commercial networks. They have their own rules. Usually it's usual 'no porn, no warez no this no that'. Want to post something you just can't keep in yourself? Something that usually pisses people off? Well, the closest alternative might be 'anarchist' sites - they talk about drugs, bombs and other illegal stuff. But if you will try to say something that will not please them, you're gonna kicked out just like if you were on, say, Interplay message board (I don't speak from experience, it's a common sence - visit anarchist forums and you'll see).

Why am I telling you that? The order is expected to be uphold. Spammers are expected to be punished for the abuse of their Internet priveleges. Want to speak freely and horse around - lock yourself in a dark closet with soundproof walls. Otherwise, keep your mouth shut and your fingers in control. Behave like a good boy. Or else you will get nuked. Or you will have police banging in your doors. 'I was jis' jokin'!' Fuck you! Forget where you live, sucker! We are all nasty motherfuckers, we are Kings of Nature, Peak of Evolution, we are fuckin' gods!
Damn you, boy, I won't give you no second chance. I don't care if you have one life and you will die. I just want to uphold the fuckin' law and order. So I will nuke ya, or send you an email bomb or something. Just because I like to show you, sucker, that you are such a sucker and shouldn't fuck with me. Oh, I WILL make you pay! With FOOL people we mean people who advertise fool (which stands for Fallout Online), not stupid people. Although the two groups usually bear a remarkable resemblance :-)
 
Let me explain it to you.

I'll use your example: A guy (spammer) sends 30,000 ICQ messages out telling people to send out the same message to other people. Or how about the guy who sends a message to 30,000 people telling them about a virus (a hoax actually) that is making its way around the internet through an email attachment, he also tells the person to send the same message to everyone else. Case-in-point: the "Good Times" email-virus, which is was because it wasted 15% of the internet's total bandwidth and clogged tons of servers with the chain-letter effect it had.

Now tell me, did this guy simply affect me with his little message, one I could "simply delete," or did he do a lot more damage with his childish act?

Even IF he just targetted me, first, he's wasting bandwidth, he's wasting storage space to store the message, and then he's wasting my time.

This individual is the refuse of the internet, of society, of life itself. I consider almost an OBLIGATION to the species to try and put this loser out of commision, whether it is to report his actions to his ISP, or to plug a .50 caliber round into his forehead.

I will "Live and Let Live" if and ONLY if the person is just "living" and not being a nuisance to myself or society. It's a two-way street, if you live and let live, I'll live and let live, but when that mutual agreement is broken, trouble arises.

And the problem with that would be...?

Actually I'm not aiming to kill stupid people, hell, most are harmless, I want lamers, spammers, and other such people who waste the time and resources of other people because they ACT stupid. Ignorance is the absence of knowledge, stupidity is ACTING ignorant on purpose, out of laziness, or lack of common sense.

Case in point:

Ignorance: A person who doesn't speak/write English as his first language has trouble with grammar and spelling on a discussion board.

Stupidity: A person who uses "u" in place of "you," "d00d," "yah," "ya," bad grammar, etc. when they fully know how to write correctly.

That's why so many arguments erupt out of people pointing out how another member of a board writes like an idiot. I've had huge debates with those kinds of people.

I only want to get rid of people who are simply a waste of resources. People who commit the same crimes right after they go to jail, rapist, molesters, murderers, spammers, people who sue companies because the their OWN stupidity; just people who choose to be detrimental to society, THOSE people. Those people are useless and worthless people. Actually I'd just send them to "the mines" where they can live out their life slaving for the people they chose to waste the time and resources of.

No, it wouldn't be a first time offense that would land you in the mines, however people who CONSISTENTLY choose to be worthless and useless would be sent there.

And people who bring up lawsuits against companies for their own stupidity would be sent to the mines IMMEDIATELY.

Those people were acting out of ignorance. The propagator of the email started the problem so he should be dealt with.

You have lots of points here, you see, yesterday in school someone (17 years) was trying to fix a computer in our lab, I came close to him, and he told me that nor the keyboard, the mouse and the cd-rom weren't running correctly. Well... the mouse and the keyboard weren't plugged-in and Windows needed to be restarted to get the CD-ROM. Now, all the computers work correctly. The dumb (he's a real moron) is the most intelligent one because *he* fixed the computers...

Oh sh|t, the difference between he and me is that I have a future, he only has some weeks of glory, nothing else.

Stupid people doesn't affect me, I'm invulnerable to stupidity!

I don't believe in Human Rights for those who are detrimental to humanity. Those who work against and/or abuse humanity diserve no "human rights."

Fear is slavery only to those who need fear. Do you need to fear receiving a speeding ticket if you're not speeding? Yes, you fear having to pay a ticket but if you're not doing anything wrong, you won't even think about it.

But he *ISN'T* intelligent. He has, what most would assume to be, a job that "intelligent" people would normally get, but that doesn't make HIM intelligent. Intelligence is base on the human, not the job he performs. A person who is a great at earning grades in school may not be intelligent, they simply know how to do the bare minimum to earn the grade.

There is a difference between being stupid and being ignorant. An ignorant person, like a handicapped person, is not at fault for their disability or lack of knowledge.

However a stupid person is different. A stupid person acts foolish because they are either too lazy to act otherwise or choose not to. They are the people who ignore common sense, the people who take stupid risks, the people who win Darwin Awards. THOSE people are stupid.

'Confused'? Don't think so

I know what i'm talking about. If some boy will try to ride car's bumper on the icy road, he takes serious risk of being pulled under the car and get hurt. But he doesn't think about it. He is ignorant. I've heard one time of kids in Germany or somewhere who were 'riding' on the top of traincars for fun. Naturally, very dangerous. They are stupid? But what if they have family problems and internal flaw - suicidemania? What if death seduces them with its 'beauty'? Stupid or ill?
Hackers who diverse government sites and cost people money and jobs? Who said they didn't think about it? They think (personal opinion, subject to change!) that they are doing a good thing.

Terrorists are bitter people who feel offended and decided to fight back, or mercenaries who will stop 'terrorizing' when they will be rich enough. Racists usually have a good reason to BEGIN putting down other 'races'. Molesters are sick people and have to be treated or locked up. Hackers sometimes can have very valuable skills, so no need to kill them.

I don't say kill all stupid people. That's Xotor. I say everyone is stupid, even the "wonderfull" people. We all live by trying to fight against nature, even Buddhist munks (don't they live in their homes, don't they have tools?) and hermits.

Would there be any of those things if we were not what we are?

If we were not constantly fighting nature, none of those things would ever have existed.

Face it, we're doomed. Our planet has only 2.5 million years to live, we only a few centuries, and the bigger part of humanity spends it time bickering about petty little trivial things (Monika Lewinsky, Windows 2000 (laughs softly), cars, fashion, our jobs, our lives).
