Water Chip? Been There, Done That
I made a gun in Anim8or. I called it the AK-86 caus it kinda looks like an AK-47, and I was born in 1986...

And here you can see them in a scene, with some weird plant I made earlier:
 
Nice, nice. But, um. Where's the thingy over the main barrel found in all AK's?
 
It looks to me like "that thingy found on the top of the barrels of all ak-47's" is now on the bottom (that thingy being the gas reloading system). The thick barrel can be useful, as the gun would be more accurate and adding more weight to the gun so when firing full auto the gun is a little more controllable. though a little more detail on the flash hider/ and or compensator on the end of the barrel would be nice.
 
Thanks Bob. I'm planning to add more detail, but as you know, plan's always get screwed over caus of things that happen you didn't include in the plan at first. In other words, I'm lazy. Anyhoo... when I get back from school I'm gonna browse world.guns.ru and see if I can find some nice examples of a bipod thingy.

Bob, this is the AK-86. It's after the AK-47 and before the AK-112.
 
I like the plant. Can one smoke it? And if so: what are the overall effects?

Lol. Anyhoo, it's an egg-plant. You cannot smoke it. You can take out the egg. When you cook the egg, and then eat it you'll be able to taste colors and see sounds.
 
The gun is sweet, although it could use a bit more texturing, looks a bit like a toy right now...

Is there a particular reason you chose the year 1986? ;) (A.D.)
 
Like a toy... you mean Lego? :P Every time I see this gun (I have the pic with the table and the egg-plant as my wallpaper) I think of Lego...

I have to figure out exactly how the texturing works in Anim8or. It's really tricky.

As is said in my first post, I was born in '86...

I hope you're not advocating the use of illegal psychotropic substances, young man!

Alec is a clean living, sober, sensible and stable young man, he's only interested in the plant for purely scientific reasons, I'm sure.

Well, people always do say that I have a radiant personality... and I sometimes noticed a faint glow when going to the bathroom with no lights on...

The AnalDrill3000 is a much more "niche" product. Mostly illegal too.

Nice, but it does make me wonder how common drum magazines are (or were in the fifties) and whether they are likely to be ever used in the future (or Retro-Future).
 
Well, in the game Killzone they use lots of cylindrical magazines. The Helghast Assault Rifle, LMG, Sniper and pistol use magazines shaped cylindrical.

In RL, for example, Russian SMG "Bizon" based on AK uses a cylindrical magazine. And also Calico's guns had it. Quite a promising construction, I'd say.
