Look, Ma! Two Heads!
What is it, why can't I use my sound card without it, and where can I find it? As most my friends can contest I have my fair share of pc problems. Like the time my pc caught fire, and nearly took out the whole neighborhood. so I recently got a new pc, the only problem is my sound wont work at all, and it says I'm missing the afore mentioned file, anyone know what it's all about, and if there is a way i can fix it cheaply?

Where would I find those? I've been looking for a while, and the only hints I have is that seemingly random assortment of letters. Is there a free auto update program I found a windows one but they wanted 40 dollars for a one month use.

It depends on the brand of computer you use. But basically, you should go to the manufacturer's website-- it should have a "download drivers" page or some such. Get it from there by entering your computer model and downloading the sound card drivers. It looks like it's a Realtek driver so you could also try their website.

I figured out how to do it, I just used Device doctor, who knew it could be so easy? My friends brother recomended it to me when I called and asked.
