After having played the Alien vs Predator game quite some time ago, i actually believed i would find the idea of a movie based on the concept interesting. However, i haven't heard anything that good about the upcoming film. However, i'm still receptive to the concept.

As for the rest, i honestly could care less about Blade 3 and Resident Evil 2. I didn't enjoyed the first Blade movie, and ResEv... meh. It looked like a typical Power Rangers episode. People shout, run, jump, fight, there's flashy FX, and weird moves, but in the end, you're just left wondering - what the hell was that all about?
 
Honestly, they are all big budget "B" movies. So I am not that excited about any of them. I am looking forward to seeing the new Tom Cruise "hit man hires a cabbie" flick though.

Of the three I go Resident Evil 2. Despite it's flaws I thought the first one was kind of fun in a mindless way and it's got zombies which is cool.

Two films based on video games, one on a comic book. THe problem with summer flicks is that it's all kids stuff and mind candy but not much substance.

If you tell that AvP is based on videogame - you`re not right. The story of AvP (movie) is original and it don`t agree with game`s story line...
 
i agree that they all are probably no brainers

but i kinda enjoyed Resident Evil 1 (a standard zombie actionflick) and i'm hopeful towards AvP (although i hope they dont screw the setting).

i probably wont even look at blade 3 when it's on tv. just not interested...
 
I'm goin with AvP, just cause I've been such a fan of both Alien and Predator for so long. And I played the games religiously for a while.
Never saw Resident Evil, nor have I played the games.
Blade 3 should be fun as well, although the second film was kind of stupid.

Wasn't Blade a comic book before a movie?

AvP- I think you're right that it was a comic book before a video game, but I think it was the video game that made it popular.

Resident Evil- gets most of it's popularity from a comic book.

I Robot could be an intelligent flick- I haven't seen it so can't say. But from the look, I doubt it.

Thing is the only film where I have seen Will Smith play an intelligent role was Six Degrees of Seperation- and that was great. I came away from that thinking Will Smith has potential as an actor, something I had not thought in any of his other films (least what I saw).

It's actually supposed to be a very good movie. Robyn Asimov gave what comingsoon.net called a "Rave Review."

I'm up for Resident Evil 2 since I enjoyed the first one and hope to see more of the ruined city (a setting I love).

I saw previews for AvP. It doesn't look bad, but I was hoping for more kick ass marines. Looks like Predators have a pyramid under the ice in Antarctica which a team is sent to investigate. They then become locked in and bait for the happy little face-huggers. Apparently, the Aliens and Predators have been fighting for some time...

Never heard of Blade 3.

Because I love both the alien movies, and the Predator movies.
I am going to see it no matter what! :)
 
I'm going with Avp, since i own all the first series, of it, Dark horse present # i don't remember plus the reprints in their own book , plus #0.

Value is going to go thru the roof, if the movie is a hit!

I'm also vouching for Punisher... Amazing Spider-man #129 ... mint = $$$$$
I paid dirt cheap for that one.

This summer is the summer i make up the money i invested on those comics.

I saw the trailer for AvP earlier and I wasn't impressed. I wanted to see Colonial Marines tearing it up like in Aliens. From what I saw it was just some antarctic researchers in a not very distant future. I'm not familier with the comic books, but I assume they are set in the same timeline as the games. A timeline the movie appears to be seperated from. Doh.
