[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON Jan-21-03 AT 04:15PM (GMT)[p]A while ago I got a new computer, and it was superb and stuff, and then in advance i had bought a better 3dcard as the computer was a complete package. After a week or so i changed the 3d card to the one i had bought in advance (Asus GF4 ti 4600, model 8460Ultra)and then i installed The Elder Scrolls 3:Morrowind and played it, and the graphix wasnt as good as expected, and some friends of mine got GF 4 ti 4200 and it runs perfectly at 1600*1200, but on my copmuter it didn't run completely smoothly on higher resolutions than 800*600..Does anyone have a clue as to what i can do?It was the same prob with the old card once i switched it back and tried it...I have tried to update the drivers and reset my computer to Fabric setting and installed Vgart...

Any the card was bought on an internet auction so i can't change it

Some cards aren't fully supported by all games. Make sure you download the latest drivers for your card from its manufacturer. And if there is a program that comes with the card, make sure you play with its settings. This can usually be found in your display properties. Lastly, read the readme for the game. They usually tell you if there are issues with certain cards. This info can sometimes be found on game forums or on the game site itself.

Er, calm down. No Vgart, no fabric setting. If you are running XP then just put the last Nvidia drivers, and specially THE LAST PATCH for the game. The problem wasn`t really in your machine (except if you have not enough memory, wich seems unlikely) but it`s a sloweness problem that many that bought that game had.
Try the Tribunal expansion , it has some fixes too. I just hope you haven`t changed too many things on a wrong way in your system already...

Have you disabled/enabled the FSAA?? It seems that FSAA really took the beating on the GF cards. Manual Settings for the FSAA is highly recommended you know...
