Look, Ma! Two Heads!
No idea why it struck me to ask about this, probably because the wrestling forum I'm on is full of double posters and illiterate flamers (At least you guys flame in a funny and fully literate way :D ) but is anyone on NMA a fan of wrestling?

Edit: I am aware that it is pre-decided finishes to matches and that matches are put together before hand by the workers. It is not so much fake, the rings aren't pillows, and mistakes can cause serious injuries. And I'm not gay for liking it. So no posts about any of those points, please.
 
Wait...wait, hang on here, you're talking about the WWF?

That's pretty weird, man, when you say "wrestling", I think about olympic wrestling with those big guys that can lift a truck above their heads, as well as sumo-wrestling.

I don't automatically think of fake wrestling, and I find it a bit odd that you think that when you say people say "wrestling" they'd automatically associate it with Hulk Hogan-esque wrestling. That's not the premium meaning of the term, y'know.
 
Most assume I mean that. I'm a fan of olympic/sumo/MMA style as well, but I didn't feel I had to put in the edit for those.

Real wrestling (like the olympic sport) is kind of boring to watch but its pretty damn cool as a form of hand to hand combat. I

The correlation between professional wrestling fans and low IQ is rather robust.

OK, that's not fair. I'm only guessing.
Of course there are studies suggesting that having children watch professional wrestling results in pretty fucking stupid children.

Pretty fucking stupid children generally become pretty fucking stupid adults.

That said, I haven't watched since Rowdy Rodney Piper used to square off against the Hulkster. I especially enjoyed the Macho-man Randy Savage (I worked with this asshole small guy named Randy- so obviously the butt of some humor) and Jesse the Body Ventura was an awesome MC.

Note- that normal Greco-Roman Wrestling is something else- though the way those guys diet is pretty fucked up.

I used to absolutely love it. I couldn't get enough, but now the whole novelty of the "fake wrestling" just makes me loathe it... But it is funny to watch every now and again!
 
I just can't watch Wrestling, I just don't find a bunch of guys grab assing exciting if I wanted that action I would have put on a gay porno.

Santo vs the Vampire Women was pretty surreal, but I can remember staring at the screen in disbelief when Santo suddenly enters a professor's office half-naked wearing a mask about half an hour into the film. It's just so...unexpected...
