Anyone else playing the default character?

Yeah there is really no choice. Basically everyone is going to be playing the same character. Fucking smart to do that in a RPG Bethesda! :ugly:

I plan on making the female resemble the Vault Dweller sprite from the originals. They have that same hairstyle(three versions, actually) in 4, so it won't be hard.

But in terms on how your character will be in personality and what not we are all most likely going to be playing the same character. It seems that Beth's idea of an RPG is just being able to choose how your character will look and that's about it. Again this kinda harkens back to the whole comparisons to Mass Effect.

Oh, of course.

But I might as well make Dweller Shepard look good. Default doesn't really do it for me.

Hehe.. Dweller Shepherd. Now I know what to called Protagonist Man. Thank you! :notworthy:

Great name.

Well Beth is aping off Mass Effect big time so might as well call Shepherd Dweller that.

True, no wait. Spell it incorrectly to show how Bethesda screwed up even the Bioware formula.

The difference is that Shepard could be made into an interesting character depending on the player's choices, while F4 doesn't seem to offer such opportunities.
I think this comparison is really unfair for Shepard. :(

I will give Shepherd this thou. At lest you were able to chose what type of upbringing and military background they had. With Beth's Dweller Shepherd, not so much.

It's not like there's any opportunity for roleplaying anymore.

I'm still going to spend like an hour fiddling with her appearance. I never pick the default options in a game where I can change what my character looks like.

Once again I expect for there to be no good hair choices.

I heard there are tons of good hair options this time.
Makes sense, too, because apparently it's now a full-time dress-up doll simulator.

I would just coat my hair with layer after layer of pine resin until it could hold a sharp point.

Then I'd run around goring people with my hair-spike like some sort of bi-pedal unicorn.
