Actually it was more deserving banning than Xotor's kicking some poor sod for posting about plasma weapons, but I better keep my mouth shut because I didn't like alpha very much :-)

Yeah it wasn't quite an all-out attack and really it was more insulting to TeamX than to the original writer. Good call Shadowman.

I'll let Shadowman decide, I won't go against another admin's decision unless it is truly unfair. Personally, and maybe it's because I'm not of Russian decent so I'm not insulted, but I'm giving .223 another chance. Hell, he didn't act like an ass after receiving the warning (well, he didn't exactly reply anyway) and plus APTYP, you've gotten in your moods too before. :)

of course it was a joke. i dont post things for deadpan seriousness anymore. nobody looks at what you write if you do it in a boring fashion. Thats why some people use all caps, or alternating caps. or use humor(although it may be funny only to that person). But i wont do it agian, unless its for my own good,like i have to write a term paper and the forum is distracting me. i did it with Apolyton Civ site. But that was more of a spamming type incedent, after black saturday.

BLack Saturday, 23 people banned from the Apolyton Civ site forums. It was terrible, the best posters all abnned, for replying ot a message.

Exactly. The point is not whether he was serious or not, he insulted Russians, TeamX and my good-hearted effort to interview Jet! If it was a joke, saying "I'm sorry. It was lame" is not hard.

Nah, don't ban him

Although he didn't say sorry, he explained why he did it. And flamers get banned because they insulted someone on purpose. He just didn't realize that he was insulting russians. At least he isn't flinging stupid terms around like "It's my constitutional right to......"

I think he still owes something an apology, though.
