The idyllic fifties, a time of peace, conformity, and when a man could get away with an unwieldy title for a magazine article.

The Modern Mechanix blog has uploaded the aforementioned article: written in 1954 for Popular Science, it is four pages about various homemade/altered cars. Many of the featured cars have been created with that particular fifties version of the future in mind.




 
Every time I enter that page, it takes me literally, hours, to stop downloading images of 50's SPACE! and SCIENCE! contraptions.

With what I have on my hard drive, I could open a museum.
