...of Elder Scrolls and Fallout games.
ARGH! Theres just the image of a post-apoc Morrowind going around in my brain... :pukes:
(hmm... Morrowind was a great game, tho)

apply guys, new sources of information are always welcome

From that recruitment sheet, I get the distinct feeling they're planning on using the exact same team that will create The Elder Scrolls 3 for Fallout 3.

And that ain't good.

Don't double-post, biatch.

What the hell does this mean: "Knowledge of Role Playing games and The Elder Scrolls or Fallout a plus." So they would hire somebody who doesn't know shit about Fallout and let them design the game world? I won't have much hope for Bethesda until that line is changed into: "Godlike mastery of Fallout and flawless knowledge of the Fallout setting a prerequisite for us to even begin to consider hiring you."

Really, one of the positions should be "Authenticity assurance director", and they should hire Per to fill it. Alternatively they could hire Rosh, but I suspect the rest of the development team would be subsequently fired or killed.

If that were true, why would we be hiring? (Ignoring of course that ES3 will be several years old by the time Fallout comes out. Maybe you meant ES4?)

Hell......... Im sure Leon Boyariski would be glad to help for a bargin price............ Especily if it means he gets to work on making another fallout a great game.

For those that froget. Leon sort of MADE FO what it is, a post appoc 50's retrofuture when he was the head art guy for FO1

Hes saying that Jebus was refering to an older game, rather than the TES4 game using the same engine as FO3.

Seriously, that could be a good position for someone that worked on the first two that's not in a good position with another developer. Got to be someone respectable though, not the "new Reno" guys.

It doesn't really matter though, there's a lot of help, and suggestions they can get here on NMA, and the Order for free, if they choose to use this resource.

Hope I can be the beta tester.
Seriously, a Fallout 3 with TES 4 engine will sure looks great. Just hope the gameplay doesn't sucks(WE DUN WANT NO MORE STINKY FALLOUT:BOS TYPE GAMEPLAY!! :x BRING BACK THE 50-ERA STYLE GRAPHIC AND SETTING. THAT'S THE REALLY FALLOUT GAME I KNOW  )

Silly boffin.

They request a knowledge "of Elder Scrolls and Fallout games" so that the staff they hire can be interchanged between projects, offering them more flexibility during their development schedule. They are developing another Elder Scrolls game don't forget.

Don't worry, Bethesda can be trusted. It shouldn't be so much an issue of gameplay which you are concerned with, but rather the amount of bugs that will pop up ;)

Several years?

Leave it in the corner, no. Morrowind is already three years old, and Bethesda have a high standard of quality; they take a while to develop a game.

Obviously I did mean ES4.

Now, after reading that recruitment post again it appears to me that the 'storywriter' position isn't open for hiring. Does that mean Beth will get someone else than the storywriter from ES4 for Fallout 3?

As long as it isn't the same storywriter from ES3, of course.
If that game even had a storywriter, that is.

I doubt Mark Kirkbride would be available to work on Fallout 3, considering his attachment to the Elder Scrolls series at the moment. Also, I'm not sure his "writing style" would be suited to Fallout.
