Bethesda policy towards Fallout Fan Projects

It Wandered In From the Wastes
Tell me what kind of Fallout Fan Projects do Bethesda allows (under the conditions that players must NOT use it for commercial purpose) and what is not. under ANY circumstances.

What will Beth says about the following:
- Novels / Fic / Cartoon / Mangas based on Fallout universe, using the different areas that does NOT appears in any official games
- Animated comics and/or Anime
- Mods saying the prequel stories of the same settings (Mods for F3 and NV)
- RPG Maker incarnations of the Fallout setting, using different stories of the different locations.

As PlanHex already said, it's probably the only way to be sure. That said, though: they've shut down at least one project that stood to make money, and like all companies they'll probably shut down anything that drags the IP through the mud if it comes to their attention, but for a company so famously protective of their properties, Bethesda hasn't been very active in killing unofficial forays into their world.

You can find fairly questionable high-profile stuff all over the internet that Bethesda couldn't be bothered to give two radroach droppings about, from Fallout: Equestria to the rather graphic assortment of Adult mods available at the New Vegas Nexus. Notably, Fallout Online 2238 hasn't (yet) drawn any negative attention from their legal team even though it technically encroaches on ground that Bethsoft and Interplay fought a protracted legal battle over, and Bethesda has (arguably) gone as far as to unofficially endorse the Nuka Break series, even looking the other way as they raised money via Kickstarter for the project (which doesn't technically constitute profit, but by the letter of the law could be construed as such).
