BIG TROUBLE WITH FRMS!!!

hey this one is very imprtant, i have write a script which change the pallete! That means now you can change the colors of armors/hair skin/ full automatic, without making it manuelly, which takes a lot of time.

I have only one problem, for this i must use Borg Locutus converter!

NO FRAME ANIMATOR!!!

So i do not have PRoblem with frm2bmp, but big trouble wit bmp2frm!!!

Because the frm2bmp.exe makes the inf files, bur with the name of the frms! And the bmp2frm.exe needs with the Name of the bmps!

I#ve tried to use Lord ZET's FRM HEAD MAKER, but i cannot use it with rhe generated bmp files! :cry:

So plz try it by your self or hel me other way, but i need a way to get this work, because this can ve very imortant for Fallout Critter Editing!

Edit; Just read the Readme, and that the fu*** problem:
2. BMP2FRM cannot process FRMs of multiple frames (i.e. FRMs in
CRITTER.DAT)

So plz is the author of this tool steel arround? Or a source code of this!

How i sid alredy this can be change the hole critter modding in fallout complete!
 
For starters I'm going to suggest that you explain for carefully what you want help with, I'll make a guess and say that you would like to make a script/batch file to mass convert all your bmps into FRMs?

If you are adjusting critters you could still use frame animator.

If you are not using frame animator then the only other programs suitable to make critter frms are (in my opinion) gif2frm and frmcat

gif to frm will convert an animated gif into a frm, frmcat will combine 6 frms into a sinlge frm with 6 different facings.

Of course you will lose all your offset information so why not just not use frame animator. Save the bmp as a frame animator project, do your mass edit script on them then re open the fpr project in frame animator and save to frm
 
No the frame animator give me not the same format bmps as putput.


Something other whats about make an pal pallette from a act file???

and yes i will mass convert my bmps to frm , but how i can make my machine to know which bmp to which facings? OR can i make heder file by my own?

Edit2: IS THERE A POSSIBILITY TO EDIT THE PALLETE OF FRMS FILES without, ctract to bmp? And not with the load option i mean direktly in the tool

EDIT4: Ok i have it BIT is there a possibilit to make batch for frameanimator for multi converting? or just for dos exe files?

EDIT5: Ok one Problem more, the bmps are now i n the right color but when convert frop frP to frm there lost it, why? :cry:

Because you didn't have the correct colour palette loaded, so Frame Animator changes it to the correct one when it creates the FRM file.

Also if you extract the dat files out you should get the color.pal file from there.

also wtf is 'putput'?
 
pk now i have what i want just one, how i can get an pallete from a RGP bmp? Because i cannot change palette on a RGB, and when i set to Indexed colors the pakette is unusefull (not 256 colours) so i must get the pallete without changing to indexet or somethin like this i hope you understand what i mean!#

ok, now i uderstand how the pallete works, and why it do not work ^^ because i colorize the pic but the pallete is the same(default.act).



SO THE BIG QUESTION IS: How i can export a palette from a bmps?

I mean not changing by hand i mean colorising a pic and save as the color in the picture are not with the f2 pallete!!!

So please help out because this way it will work ( i tested by vhanging pallete by hand).

Or say how i can colorize a index color by choose armor and trousers and not all at once, because only RGB ou can choose. Hope you understadn what i am trying.
