I have no interest in the multiplayer but the single player seems like it will be entertaining as usual. I will probably rent this for my Xbox 360 from a nearby Blockbuster( there are still a few around!) and be entertained for a few hours at least...

What are your opinions?

Looks like they threw everything into this except the kitchen sink. I've never played this series...

Pixote I am not a huge fan of Black Op's, and it's not exactly the one to start of the COD series but World at War and Black Op's had a fun mini game called Zombies essentially reanimated Nazi solders and you fight them off as long as you can and Black ops had something similar but with a mix of people like JFK, Castro, McNamara from the Nam era they are fun when split screening with a friend while drunk.

But if you want to give COD a shot I would skip the WW2 games (done to death), and play Modern Warfare 1/2/3 in order, sure it's outlandish and par for the course in some respects but well worth a play.

I played the first Modern Warfare and World at War. From trying the rest on friend's consoles, I therefore played every subsequent games in the series. Spectacle, railroady shooters attemting straight-faced realism when the main character is an offshoot of Wolverine and where (evil) Russians can just invade all over the world at a moment's notice on the tiniest pretextes. No thanks.

That looks enjoyably over the top. Shame it's not single player co-op (probably) or else I might play it when it's in the bargain bin.

The graphics aren't actually that bad, it's the crappy high contrast lighting that's in vogue at the moment. Makes games look five years older.

Odd thing about zombie mode is that it has a better story than most CoD or MoD games.

I liked Black Ops, I really did. Great singleplayer and fun multiplayer. But this looks like shit.

Liked the very first call of duty, but it was too linear and movie like even then. The modern warfare stuff with regenerating health and whatnot, is just a borefest.

My computer is older than your Mum; the video card would explode the second I started the game. Youtube is as close as I can get to playing Modern Warware. That leaves me more time to mod Fallout 2. 8-)

The original had a story and twist that were actually pretty decent, all things considered. if the multiplayer is more like the original MW and less the spamfest that is MW3 that could be fun too. And yea, zombies is always fun.

What's this? Deus Ex is making an action spin off? Hmm? What's that you say? It's Call of Duty? Really? No way! Well, I'll be damned.

Fact 49 : the gameplay will be exactly like black ops 1 which was exactly like COD 4 which is exactly like COD 3......

Fact 50 : they will have a collectors edition

Fact 51 : it will not make full use out of the PC platform as it will be a port from consoles to PC.

there, that wasnt even hard.
