First time out of the vault
Hi all, I'm to the forums and am a fan of Falllout  .

A few years back (Maybe about 4) I played a game similar to fallout 3 (Post apocalyptic game) and i have forgotten the name of it.

Wonder if anyone can help me refresh my memory if i provide you clues.

1. I think it was a German game ( Speech was in German, it had English subs)
2. Set in a Post Apocalyptic Era
3. Allowed you to have 4-5 party members (Fully controllable as i remember)
4. Guns and Melee weapons were the ones mostly used ( No magic or future tech)
5. 3D game in 3rd person view ( think of it as a old version of fallout 3)
6. Fairly old game ( 4-5 years old)

I'll add more clues as i remember. Tx in advance

5. 3D game in 3rd person view ( think of it as a old version of fallout 3)

Over the shoulder?

3. Allowed you to have 4-5 party members (Fully controllable as i remember)

Was it real time or turn based combat?

The Fall seems great on paper but I wasn't overly impressed with the game.

Same with Metalheart. It was a fairly broken game that was accompanied by a weak narrative flow.

It's pathetic how they abandoned the English version before the studio quietly fell apart/merged with a cookie cutter console game developer. I actually enjoyed their previous title, Soldiers of Anarchy, despite the technical glitches. I still never bothered to track down The Fall, and is probably impossible to find.

It is a bit like Fallout and Jagged Alliance 2- but in realtime (with pause). The atmosphere is pretty good and I personally like the graphics a lot too. The maps are well done and NPCs have daily schedules, etc.

The story is ok-ish. It is fine for the game, not great, but not bad either.

Quests are linear most of the time, but some can be finished in more than one way. The dialogues have multiple choice options, but it is mostly just flavor.

Your team is sometimes talking to each other, like the mercs in JA2 did. The RPCs aren't just drones with different names and avatar images.

I couldn't see anything bad in the writing either, but I played the german version and the english patch is fan made, so... no idea.

The version i played had German speech with English subs in it. So it was a bit awkward. But for its time it was a pretty decent game.

And Lexx pretty much describes the game as i felt it. Nothing flashy about it but a decent game.

ill proly give it a 7/10 maybe 7.5
