does anybody else find this statement ironic in relation to the current situation as it is? I came across it in the archives from the Gamestats NMA.

Why did the US gov't go to war over oil supplies and uranium if it had already found fusion power? Fusion power must have already been in use for a little while, as cars, powered armor, and weapons had been designed to harness its potential.

I was wondering if it was the oil thread he was after.

Oil is used in much more than cars. Plastics come from oil, there still may have been a need for oil to power their powerplants. Lubricants made from oil are common. Thats just off the top of my head but oil will still be valuable after we run out of gas powered cars.

I've been told once that the US gets 70% of it's oil, for plastics and such, from Canada.
