No they didn't. When they do the US will act just like they did with Ukraine. They will expect Japan, South Korea and Taiwan to fight China off with weapons they do not have the training for.

I think hyperbole would be accurate as China did a N Korea and aimed the missiles at the sea. So you are correct.
A senator did an interview on Newsnight ( Cullen or the like ) he spoke very non committal and quite calm.

He made one slight slip then said we do adhere to the one China after he said US and Taiwan were partners.
 
I mean the US put Taiwan in that spot just like they did all those little DEMOCRACY MANIFEST regions across the world. Those did a lot of good. How is Liberia anyway? Ask Raiden.

And some people bleat away like good lil sheeple quoting the von Ribbentrop / Molotov; aka Hitler Stalin pact , which has been added to and twisted about to make it more ominous. The truth is double dealing and fake pacts/treaties and cease fires etc is all part of diplomacy. Next they will say it was Stalin who gassed the jews and the downtrodden Poles were in league with Italian and Spanish fascists
