Chris Avellone interview

Future looks bleak when people have the inability to read through a 1 page thread. Especially its last post.

I will admit, I don't always read through every single post meticulously and take notes (I don't have the time), but the general consensus is - digital distribution is good, also secondhand games are OK. The games industry will just have to adjust, or force the people in power to change the law, either way Chris Avellone is a small cog in a big machine, and games companies are increasingly run by marketing teams, and not game designers, sad but true. :|

Cynicism is a symptom of being either

A- a teenager who hates everyone because they call you a dothead in school

or B- an adult that really needs to meet more people

of course Sabirah, peopel can be classified in specific groups for the most specific of reasons and everything has one simpel explanation :roll: and of course you shouldn't comment on the actual topic of the thread you are on....

the used game market...hmmm I only buy used copies of old games, and only once I bought an used recent game, Last Window, and I keep it with care, the last game of Cing, pretty sad My sister lives in London and she couldn't find a new copy of the game to ship it to me, but someone aparently didn't like it and returned it. The used market can help games that would end in someones attic or trash can reach the hand of someone that is interested in them, but it doesn't outweight the benefits of digical distribution.

Haha Sabirah heres a quote you will enjoy. I feel it applies directly to you. :lol:

“Idealism is what precedes experience, cynicism is what follows.”
David Wolf

@ Lexx, Hey one of the few second hand games I ever bought was Resident Evil REMake (and Zero) for the GC.

@this discussion:
Look at some of the "insane" steam sales offered. Isn't the price slash competetive with the used game market?
