Apparently Chucky/Jester has decided that posting over a grand total of 9 times isn't so bad after all... Here he makes a comment to Odin and basically the NMA community itself. Poor fool...

*Groan* He never learns, does he?Jester said:Maybe after the end of the month, a few Interplay employees will be able to make it up here more often.
Currently we are crunching for E3 and a major milestone on the F:BoS title.
This does not mean the BoS forum will go live, but I am not discounting it either. If it does go back up, it should go up with a Interplay Development Team presence. I have read all of the complaints and believe me they are not be round filed. Many of the critics of the inactivity are probably right, the BoS team should have been here, but like Krazikatt stated, we are spread thin. This is not a certainty, but it is under consideration at this time.
Sincerly,

Odin said:Chuck I think it's quite safe to say that you're not interested in what the crowd has to say about this game, instead you're just making this game as you seem fit and really don't try and listen to the ones that actually do know the Fallout setting.
Now I haven't been that critical about this game, but so far you haven't given us much to believe that this game will fit the Fallout setting or sell big. You've got screenshots that look like they could be done in the year 1997 and a story that has huge holes in it. We're sorry to burst your bubble, but customer feedback can make a game better even if it does trample on your designs and make you crumble up and start sucking that tumb.
At the present you're ignoring the Fallout fanbase, which isn't a good thing. You'd be better off trying to listen to what they have to say, granted there are some suggestions you'd like to filter out BUT Rosh, Saint and even Killz have had some suggestions that could have turned this game around, you chose to ignore those and go about your business.
And to top it off you're actually ignoring the gaming community and even won't submit to a simple interview about this game, was my questions to hard, no they weren't. Actually quite typical of a game interview, the reason you chose to say no to an interview is simply put.. Odin is running a Fallout fansite and *SHOCKER* has said a few bad things about this title, well now isn't your job also to try and convince people that this title is worth buying and following ? Why yes it is...

As for my caring as to what the crowd says, despite what you think, I do. It doesn't mean I can stop production and make 180 on everything the hardcore's don't like. It is not feasible. Things have been revisited as a result of some of the things stated on these forums. There are still other things under consideration. And like I admitted, maybe we need to be more involved on these boards. Hence the reason for my post.
As for your interview for NMA. I am sorry you feel the need to air your dissatisfaction publiclly on what was a private request and a private rejection.
Miroslav said:I'm interested why do you see this as a private rejection? Odin has every right to be upset. We're doing a sort of journalism and by ignoring us, you're breaking the "rules"However, we do not mind, as we were ignored so many times after Fallout: Tactics was announced. Ask around.
Have you had an idea that I received a warning email that if I do not stop blanting Tactics, I'll be sued? Is that the right thing? How could I "learn" about Tactics when I had no contacts, how can I learn the The Real Thing about Brotherhood of Steel if I do not have someone to guide me? Well, those screenshots and your interviews guided me enough; this is why we have such an opinion. You could at least gather your senses and try to repair what is done.
Cheers Chuck, this has been my first message to you, and I hope not the last one.
So there's the update for those who dare not venture into the Interplay boards, and rightfully so. Any other goodies from Chucky/Jester as of late?Odin said:Well we haven't been able to say anything about this game, so I don't see where you'd be gathering this intel/feedback. Are you seriously interested in talking about these holes in the story, because if you are I sure many of the Fallout fans could point these out to you and you can try and make a good game rather than a game that has TANK written all over it.
As for the interview, well that cat is out of the bag (read the news on DAC). As to if it's private or not, no it's not. It was an official request from a Fansite to the developer about an interview, when you for no reason all of a sudden say no and don't give a valid reason, then I can complain since a developer would take the time for one of the biggest and oldest Fallout fansites. Besides who are we kidding, the only reason you didn't want to do it was because I've said some bad words about this title. The only thing is that you're only digging yourself deeper and deeper, which you can probably see and dislike. Well now, what are you going to do about it ?
