... The President of Venezuala is a corupt one that deserves to be taken from power. His administration has lead to record drops in the economy, the near destruction of the middle class...he's only won by playing to the Che worshipper in nitwits like you'reself. ...
Thanks for the reply and I will go to the web link you noted, not only the random ones I have tried through Google.
... Che worshipper ... idiot ...
These are reasonable or equitable rebuffs of my baiting, so no offense taken, and yes the "nazi" repetition was stupidly unkind, but that's what this discussion has come to. It was a silly twist of words, and usually only works in face to face "discussions" to unbalance an opponent. It does not "work" well in long range, spread out over time, text exchanges, and does no good really if it blurs and taints the rest of my communication.
Your" "pacifist" and "tyranny" "quote earlier, makes perfect "neo-con" sense beyond the initial context, after what homework I have done about the political philosophy, and may encapsulate the reasoning behind the aggressive stance of neo-con influenced foreign policy.
Because of your personal antidote about your father, I owe you a return kindness. An antidote. My Dad is retired USN. He and my step mother have been traveling all over, and go outside the U.S. at least once a year. First he went to all the countries he "ported" , and has since visited many more. I believe their trip to Egypt was a year or two before the terrorist attack on tourists at Luxor. My worries of the image and vulnerability of Americans abroad gets repeated every year.
Sad nostalgia, to think that our greatest 'conscious' danger as Americans was traffic accidents. Their interest in "the world' and the time and money they have spend in travel dwarfs my meager moving about from state to state. I wish your Dad a good and prosperous trip.
Since we have both chosen an emotional path in this thread, that too easily has resorted to name calling in one form or another, I doubt we will get much more out of this discussion of voting in Venezuela, other than theatrics. Unless you have more interesting examples of how neo conservativism can shape American foreign policy I will return to my image of neo cons and Barry Goldwater's 1964 nomination speech:
... I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue. ..,
