...is that Westwood had gotten very clever about their installers—they were often great entertainment, but GoG uses their own installers.

Westwood put a gigantic lore dump in the Nox installer; you get none of it in the game.

Yeah, Nox was pretty good.
Always thought that the mage on the cover looked like Cary Elwes.

...it looks comparable to Diablo.
Smoother animation, and has realtime line-of-sight fog of war via MMX.

Its music is great—but not as good as Diablo's.

Many push-able / destructible objects. The three classes do truly play differently, as well as having different story campaigns.
 
I played the demo, I think it had a kinda odd control scheme compared to Diablo, but it worked well.
